Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo to Memory Stick and MS Pro adapter works in the older Cyber-Shot 5mg pixel camera. Our limit was a 1gb Memory Stick Pro. The original limited memory put age on the camera, but, now with all the extra memory the camera isn't so outdated anymore.

Using a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo 4gb (Mark2 / MS-MT4G) in this adapter works great and give's me 4x the storage space for video's and photo's in my old Cyber-shot. I don't know if the 8gb works, but, the 4gb does and my photo capacity on high res went from 401 to 1599.
